Event Rooms
Situated on the north side of the ‘cross’, Linlithgow’s historic market square, The Burgh halls comprises two listed buildings. Facing the high street is a late 17th century building, which served as the town’s jail, court house and toll booth, and to the north is an early 19th century county hall.
Malcolm Fraser Architects created the design for the redevelopment following extensive consultation. It opens up the back of the building for the first time, developing the links with St Michael’s and Linlithgow Palace, creates an art gallery, lift access to upper floors, a glass fronted garden room/cafe and an outdoor terrace on the first floor giving direct access to the rose garden.
Baillie Hardie Hall features stunning arched windows, natural wood flooring and the feature fireplaces on either end of the room make a dramatic statement.
Provost Lawrie Hall has a purpose built bar and access to a private terraced area which would be ideal for the pre dinner drinks reception.
